Are you ready for the cold? Winter can affect vaping and what you need to consider when the temperature drops. To ensure that your e-cigs work to their full potential, we have put together a list of our winter vaping tips. So let’s dive into our guide to everything related to winter vaping.

1. Don’t leave your equipment outside in the cold weather
Low temperatures and electronics are never a good combination. It is well known that the cold can greatly affect battery performance. It will not only reduce your battery’s charging capacity but also its power, so for those of you looking for big clouds, your fear of reduced wattage will become a reality.
Fun fact: When lithium-based batteries are stored below -20°C, they stop working, but they can be used again once the temperature has returned to normal.

2. Keep your e-juice away from the cold
Although the cold is unlikely to permanently damage your juice in the same way that heat can, it will increase its viscosity and make the e-juice extremely thick. This is a major problem as it makes it very difficult for coils to soak up the liquid properly, causing dry hits and burning out your coil after a day. Not fun! If you have a bottle of e-juice that has been left in the cold, simply place it in a room-temperature environment until it returns to its normal consistency. Shake it thoroughly and then you’re ready to vape. Do not try to “warm it up” in any other way, as this will likely damage the liquid.

3. Avoid metal drip tips
Have you ever licked a frozen pole? Hopefully, you answered no, but if you answered yes, it probably wasn’t a particularly pleasant experience. Those of you who answered no probably still have a pretty good idea why you shouldn’t lick frozen poles. Metal drip tips are just like that frozen pole, but for your lips. They can cause your lips to lose heat and moisture, which can lead to cracks, bleeding and other unpleasant things. In the worst-case scenario, your lips will get stuck to your drip tip and you’ll have to ask your colleague to pour some of their noodle water onto your face. Not fun.
We hope you enjoyed these tips and pieces of advice that we have shared in this guide. Which tip will you make the most use of this winter?
